Chris Bowen
Chris Bowen, is Shimadzu Australasia’s Mass Spectrometry Business Development Manager.
After graduating in Chemistry from the University of Hertfordshire in 2000 Chris started his career in the UK then has worked in both Singapore and Australia, and with an honorary position at the University of Melbourne in 2011 working with metabolomics.
Chris has over 15 years’ experience using GC/LC/MALDI Mass Spectrometer systems, working on applications ranging from small molecule GLP registration, environmental & food contaminant quantitation, to biomarker discovery and compound characterization. In recent years his focus has been on method development & metabolomics workflows.
Based at the Bio21 Institute Chris has access to the very latest Shimadzu mass spectrometry systems using them to help answer researcher’s questions from experimental design, data acquisition to statistical analysis and visualization of large data sets. Chris’s main focus is on providing workflow solutions to customers in the Australasia region, plus supporting sales and applications.
